Kaole Secondary School

The mission of this school is to offer locally accessible education to all the children of the community and to improve teachers’ academic welfare by offering seminars. The vision of Kaole Secondary School is to enable students to acquire secondary education knowledge, skills and attitude in cultural and social activities according to the norms and Gorverment Policy. The vision is to wage war against ignorance.

The school premise was used for residence by the Mozambique Government during their freedom fight until 1975 when Mozambique gained independence.  Kaole Secondary School was initiated by the Tanzania Parent Association in 1975 after the buildings were nationalized.  It is approximately 5km from the Home-Base.  The following subjects are being taught: Mathematics, English, Geography, Civics, Swahili, History, Science, Social Studies.  All subjects except Swahili class are taught in English.  The teachers can communicate in English.  The school is divided into Form One through Form Six.  There are approximately 480-500 students at the school, with 45 students in each class.  There are 22 teachers at this school.
